Full Colour Stick-on Label

A full colour stick on label offers excellent print quality is an economical way to decorate your CD or DVD and is a good option for beta discs, demo discs or marketing materials.

Black Thermal Printing

This is directly printed to the disc surface. There are two types of black thermal printing. The first type is ideal for artwork with mainly text and logo but is not a perfect solution for solid background printing. We call this Thermal 1. The second type is ideal for artwork requiring solid and full coverage print.

Inkjet Direct to Disc Printing

Inkjet printing is printed directly onto special coated CD or DVD media and provides very good results. White and silver printable surfaces are available to choose. This print method is ideal for small runs and/or quick turnaround. One disadvantage of inkjet printing is that since the coating on the disc absorbs ink it will absorb other liquid.

If coffee or other liquid is spilled onto the disc it may damage the print. New technology is currently available from Imation and Taiyo Yuden discs which minimizes the effect but it still something to consider while choosing this option.

Colour thermal printing

Colour thermal printing is a good option for full coverage picture or solid colour artworks. Unlike inkjet printing, it is not affected by spilled liquid.

Silkscreen Direct to Disc Printing

Silkscreen printing is the same print methods used on commercially made CDs or DVDs. Turnaround time is usually longer (5 to 7 business days) and this involves one time charges for film output and screen setups.
